Snapshot: On Jul 4th, our goals and emotions are in sync as we set about with some ‘fresh start’ in the areas of mom, home, family, land, tradition. Its not a huge energy to feel, but it is part of understanding the cycles of our 2 luminaries (Sun and Moon) that govern so many personal cycles for each and all of us. The New Moon in Cancer heralds in a time of family reunions and such. Many tourists travel ‘up north’ to where I live to visit a cabin that has been in their family for generations. You get the idea. Mercury and Venus are both in Cancer as well, so we strongly focused on Cancerian things right now.
Here are the details:
At 7:00am the Moon Conjuncts the Sun at 12:54 Cancer.
This Conjunction merges both our personal goals (Sun) and our emotions (Moon) to create an inner harmony. It is a good time to be with family and to travel home to your ‘roots.’
The New Moon in Cancer is a ‘fresh start’ after a completion or culmination at the Full Moon in Cancer a few weeks ago. Its not as straightforward an energy when the Sun and Moon are in this type of cycle.
Cancer rules immovable property and wealth, aka ‘land’ and the US was built around strong Cancerian energies… ‘from sea to shining sea,’ the settlers sought to have what they couldn’t ‘own’ under the European Royal family regimes. Many of our families were settlers and this is part of the ‘traditions’ of our history.
With Pluto Transiting Capricorn, Opposite to Cancer, we, again, have more challenges to land ownership than we have known since the Revolutionary War. This is really an internal battle between our conscious minds (Mercury/Virgo) and our collective unconscious (Neptune/Pisces). The axis where we have had so much energy going on showing us the connections between what we ‘see’ (Mercury/Virgo) and the reality we imagine (Neptune/Pisces). We are in the midst of Eclipse cycles across this axis that are reshaping our understanding of what we ‘see.’ And this is one of the factors playing into this New Moon right now as the Personal Planets have left the Mutable Grand Cross they created as they moved through Gemini and are now hitting the T-Square energy of what is still in play: North Node in Virgo, Saturn in Sagittarius and Neptune in Pisces.
Besides understanding the dynamic of the conscious/subconscious axis, we have the dissolving of structures between the 2 Karmic Planets that created our old 3D reality.
All is flux. But a New Moon in Cancer initiates the emotional bonding between people as a means to keep our conscious ‘blood-ties’ in tact. So we can continue on with the human experience this offers us. In the midst of seeing that our entire reality is just a hologram of energies, we are still trying to keep some traditions in place as the emotional structures of our lives to shape what is going on.
From Cancer, the Planets were Quintile and now Sextile to Jupiter and the North Node in Virgo, Trine or Ses-Square to Mars in Scorpio, Quincunx Saturn in Sagittarius, Opposite Pluto in Capricorn, Trine to Neptune and Square to Uranus. Personal aspects are beginning to shape the changes from the Mutable Grand Cross.
There are many huge shifts going on this summer so take a minute to enjoy the nurturing energies this New Moon offers.
At 9:42pm Mercury at 10:57 Cancer Quincunx Saturn Retrograde at 10:57 Sagittarius.
While Mercury in Cancer enjoys initiating emotions in a verbal way… ‘drama queen’ when badly aspected, this adjustment aspect means that Saturn is going to hold him accountable to taking the higher road and remembering the global perspective of families as well. There is a bigger world out there and your family is just one small piece of the whole pie. So keep this in perspective as you are saying good-bye, leaving your roots and going back to work on Tuesday.
